    There will be a written exam, which is used and approved by the American Heart Association that will be administered. Students must show competency in both the hands on training and the written exam to successfully complete the course. Upon completion, the student will receive a BLS-P card and or the CPR and First Aid card the same day that will expire two years from the month the card was received. The CPR cards are also required for most health professions, colleges, universities, child care centers, adult care facilities, school districts, and some businesses.
